Boarding House
Boarding House

Our boarding section opened on the 14th of January 2013 and we believe that the community atmosphere of the school is greatly enhanced by the presence of boarders. Boarding is offered to those pupils from the local vicinity or from neighbouring countries. We are privileged to be situated 8 kilometers from the O.R Tambo International Airport as this makes it easy for our International pupils to get to the College .Ours is a weekly boarding and pupils can go home over the weekends and public holidays. Pupils whose homes are far away can stay during the weekends. The ethos of the school is one of inclusion and support for boarders, with high quality pastoral care being provided by Mr.Darren Flood , the College Deputy Headmaster who is in Charge of Pastoral Care.  The boys are supervised by three dedicated live in Housemasters whose work is essential to maintain the smooth running of the boarding house and to enhance the quality of life of the pupils whilst they are in school. The College Headmaster Mr Jim Connell oversees the overall running of the boarding house.

USE OF FACILITIES BY BOARDERS & WELFARE

The facilities are spacious and modern, catering to every boy's need as well as offering a contemporary , family-style environment for all.The pupils are divided into cubicles in fours and in some instances six depending on the size of the room.

There are kitchen and dining facilities for boarders to use and this is run by a full time caterer. Pupils are provided with three hot meals a day when boarding and also have access to the informal environment of the school’s two tuck-shops. The boarding housemasters provide a programme of activities for evenings and weekends which allows boarders to have access to sports facilities within the College and also allows them to visit cultural and other facilities off site, such as the movie houses and shopping malls.
