The Preparatory School (Years 4 - 7) consists of 250 learners, which allows for an individual and personal environment.
This section comprises three classes per year, with class sizes varying between 23 -25 boys. The quality staff embraces the National Curriculum, interacting with the boys on a personal and enthusiastic level .Assessment is cumulative–based, with two sets of full exams in July and November. Our Year 6s enter annually into the Conquesta Olympiads whilst the Year 7s participate in the ISASA Shared Assessment Tasks. The Academic support in English, Afrikaans and Mathematics is offered to any of our boys requiring such support.
Our policy of compulsory participation in both sport and cultural activities contributes significantly towards developing all-round, well balanced young learners. Sporting fixtures are mostly against Gauteng private schools .Our boys have the opportunity to participate in the Traditional Summer and winter Inter-C.B.C. sporting Festivals held throughout South Africa, and tours are embarked upon with enthusiasm, exposing the boys to a variety of skills beyond the school environment.
All our Year 7 learners are part of the inclusive leadership structure that we have in place, and these learners are also eligible for the unique C.B.C. Leadership Exchange Programme that is run annually.
