PRIMARY SCHOOL
-
Mr Henry Moolman
The
last four weeks of school are always dictated by deadlines, which if not
managed properly can be the source of irritation and discontent.
Thankfully to date I’ve noticed very little of this around the
school.
HAIRCUTS
Primary
parents, if you have not received the notice about the prize-giving, in
it we requested you take your boys for a haircut.
Please do so should they require it.
ENTREPRENEURS’ DAY
My
sincere thanks to the Year 3 parents for the wonderful support of the
Entrepreneurs’ Day last Friday. Many
important skills were learnt and applied by the boys as they prepared
for and participated in the day. Thank
you to the Year 3 teachers who planned this event with their boys.
Please remember the Year 7 Entrepreneurs’ Day (Friday 7
November) as we would like to reciprocate the support they have given us
this year when we have had an Entrepreneurs’ Day.
CHARITY BAGS
Thank
you to the boys who have already contributed sweets to the “charity
bag” drive for the poor. We
encourage those who have not yet brought their sweets to do so before
Wednesday 19 November.
EXTRA-MURALS
Please
note that from next Friday, all extra-mural activities come to an end.
CRICKET
Our
Years 1—3 cricketers had a super time at Veritas on Tuesday.
Although the outcome of the games played didn’t favour us, the
boys learnt valuable skills as they enjoyed themselves.
A special thanks to those parents and staff who assisted with
transport.
The
Year 3 boys will play their
last game of the season against St Peter’s this Saturday.
SPORT
Please
see Mr Maree’s report below.
