SCHOOL SPORT -

Mercifully
cricket season is rapidly drawing to a close.
This week alone 8 games would have been played by the Primary
School boys. Throughout the
whole season we have played in excess of 20 games with varying success.
All
the boys have shown a great increase in their own personal skills
development. A big thank you
to all the coaches and teachers who had a hand in this and who had to
spend many hours in the hot sun.
I
would also like to thank the parents for their assistance with
transport. Your help is much
appreciated.

SWIMMING
Congratulations
to all the swimmers who took part in last week’s gala.
It was a great effort. A
big thanks to Mrs O’Connor, Mrs Douglas and Mrs Enslin for their hard
work throughout the year.
SQUASH
Congratulations
to Liam Boyd, runner up, and Daniel Barry, the senior Squash Champion.
Well done to
Caledonia
for winning the inter-house competition.
TENNIS
Well
done to Dominic Dias who is the Tennis Champion, and to Brendan Lindsay,
the runner up.
Caledonia
was, again, the winner in the inter-house competition.
CONGRATULATIONS
Marc
Mostert participated in the Rynfield Mile that took place at Homestead
Dam on 26 October. He was
placed 8th in a time of 27 minutes 10 seconds.
Declan
Smith achieved the following results at a recent gala—1st in
freestyle, 1st in breaststroke and 2nd in backstroke.
Adam
Forbes achieved 6th place in his age group, and 84th out of 328
swimmers, in the Dis-Chem Sun City 1500m swim.
His time was 28 minutes 57 seconds.
He was selected to represent Easterns Aquatics at the NTS
Provincial Gala held in
Pretoria
last month. He has improved
his ranking from 10th to 7th in his age group.
