STAFF
2006 Year of
the Teacher Celebrations
On 14 May we
held a Mass to celebrate The Year of the Teacher. This was celebrated by
our brand new Archbishop, Jabulani Nxumalo. Staff members were honoured for
their different significant services. Afterwards a picnic was held for all
staff, SGB members and family members who were present.
Farewell to Mrs
Gladys Wymers
Mevrou Wymers
has now moved to a district department as School Management and Governance
Developer (SMGD) after more than 30 years as an Educator at St Mary’s and St
Bernard’s. The learners held a farewell function for her on 3 May, and on 6
May the parents and community members held their own function to bid her
farewell. These were two lovely occasions and we wish her the best of luck.
Thank you to
all the people who were present at these occasions, thank you for all the
gifts, and thank you to the organizing committee and staff members,
especially to the co-ordinators, Ausi Jane Ralekoala and Mrs Lerato Mazimba.
Pele ya pele
Mevrou, once a teacher always a teacher.
PASTORAL
COMMITTEE
This Committee
has been established to support vulnerable children and we raise funds every
term. We bought a bicycle for a learner who travels 13 km daily.
The committee
members also provide counseling for vulnerable learners.
