St Patrick’s pupils did
well in 2005.
Special Awards Colours
Blazers were awarded to Kirsten McLeod for her outstanding performance
in swimming, and Kenneth Malope was given one for his natural ability
and his selection to the Northern Cape U/19 Boys Sevens Rugby Team.
Megan McAdam was the
proud recipient of an Honours Blazer for her consistent loyalty,
courtesy and the fine example she displays to other students. This
award was a continuation of her achievement in 2004 when she earned a
silver award after her participation at the National Expo in
Pretoria,
followed by the International Expo in
Namibia
in September 2005. In the international event, she again obtained a
silver medal.

In the Lovelife Games
three pupils were selected to attend the National Competition to be held
at St Andrew’s College in Grahamstown from 5 – 11 December 2005. Well
done to Boingotlo Gasealahwe, Yi-Ning Chen, Kgatliso Mathakgane. Yi-Ning
is also currently ranked Number 2 speaker in the province.
At the Mock United
Nationals General Assembly Debate in Upington in August 2005 our pupils
did well. In 2004 we were proud to be placed 3rd in the
Northern Cape and looked forward to doing even better in 2005. This
year the team was placed second in the province.
At the Scifest 2005 –
Celebrating Science event, the Youth Water Prize Competition saw Andrew
Talbot receiving 3rd prize and Andrew Waddington the 2nd
prize.
