High School
We are committed to the development of the whole person. Our policies, processes and approach to teaching and learning are there to facilitate Academic, Physical, Cultural and Spiritual growth in all who are part of our College family and where the presence of each individual is valued.
The Christian ethos of our school is reflected in our selection process which although involving an entrance examination, is structured to acknowledge a wide variety of abilities and talents. We take great pride in developing each of our students to their utmost potential.
We strive to be a progressive and caring environment in which foundations are laid and character is developed, enriching the lives of our boys and preparing them for the opportunities and adventures they will have as they develop into the “Men of Honour”. The men we expect them to be.
The school has a well-balanced academic and extra-mural and spiritual development programme, delivered by well-trained, motivated and experienced staff, with and understanding of the learning needs of the boys.
Academics
Christian Brothers’ College Boksburg has been in the business of educating young men for over 80 years and has a long tradition of high academic standards. A 100% pass rate has been the norm over this time. The Bachelor Pass Rate is on average above 90%. We strive that all our learners achieve a bachelor’s degree admission.
Since 2000, we have written the Independent Examination Board Exam and within the past few years (from groups of approximately 55 – 60 matrics) we have had learners qualify for the I.E.B. Top 50 nationally.
The academic staff is a well trained and highly motivated group of people including educators who are regional moderators and markers for the I.E.B.
Cultural
Christian Brother’s College Boksburg is proud to offer our High School pupils a wide range of cultural activities including debating, chess, public-speaking, marimbas, olympiads, Eisteddfods, media club, poetry and more.
The boys are exposed to a variety of skills and life lessons with the participation in cultural activities to expand their knowledge.
