Congratulations to our Matrics of 2025
It is a privilege to congratulate the Matric Class of 2025 on their results. This year’s cohort performed very well and they can be justifiably proud of their achievement. Every learner reached remarkable milestones, and together they upheld the academic standards of the College with distinction.
Fiftyone young men sat the examinations. The overall pass rate was again 100% and the tertiary pass rate was also 100%. Across the grade, 45 distinctions were attained and 82% of the learners achieved a Bachelor’s Degree pass.. These results reflect not only academic excellence but the commitment of our students to aspire to achieve the remarkable and strive for more..
While statistics highlight the collective success, they cannot fully capture the individual journeys of growth and achievement. We congratulate each learner personally and we celebrate our top achievers. Liam Drummond was ranked in the top 1% nationally for English, Life Orientation and Business Studies. He produced a remarkable six distinctions. Alex Benn, Hlomla Nqeketo and Atile Rabotho also produced a number of subject distinctions. The top achievers performed exceedingly well and we’re exceptionally proud of them and delighted with these results.
Although I have mentioned some of our top achievers, I emphasize that the quality of matric results must not only be measured in percentage pass rates or distinctions attained. Many young men have struggled through school and personal adversity. Many may have found academics challenging.
Although some may only have produced a “mediocre result”, it is in their “normal achievement” where the success of the College is showcased. They found a way through resilience, through determination and bloody mindedness. To these young men, I say well done! Their success is testament to the calibre of our learners and the strength of our teaching staff.
On behalf of the College management team, I extend our heartfelt congratulations to our Matrics, their parents and families, and our teachers. This success is the result of a true partnership. It is the result of the tireless dedication of staff, the unwavering support of parents, and the determination of the young men of CBC Boksburg.
The Class of 2025 leaves behind a legacy of excellence, inspiration, and pride. As they embark on the next chapter of their lives, whether in further studies or the world of work, I am confident they will continue to shine brightly, lead with courage, and inspire others. Congratulations once again to our Matrics of 2025. You have made your school community proud, and we celebrate not only your results but the remarkable young men you have become. Together, you have created a proud chapter in the history of our College.
