Principal's Welcome: Mrs G Bernhardt
It is my privilege, as Principal, to welcome you to a place where young boys begin a journey that will shape them into “men of honour”. After 23 years in the High School, I can say that I am proud of the High School’s tradition, confident in its present, and ambitious for the future.
As a staff, we are committed to excellence in all that we do. Our academic programme challenges and supports every learner, encourages intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and a pursuit of personal attainment. In our classrooms, boys are guided not only to achieve strong results but to develop a lifelong love of learning that will equip them for a rapidly changing world.
Beyond the classroom, our integrated sports programme promotes discipline, teamwork and resilience.
This participation in sports ensures our boys learn that success is earned through commitment and perseverance.
At the same time, the cultural lessons incorporated into the timetable — from music and art to debating and public speaking — nurture creativity, confidence and self-expression. We believe that every boy should have the opportunity to discover his strengths and passions.
At the heart of our school lies our unique House and Tutor Group system. These structures ensure that every boy is known, supported and valued. This system fosters healthy competition, mentorship and, most importantly, a deep sense of brotherhood. In an all-boys environment, this bond becomes a powerful force — shaping friendships, building leadership and creating a network that lasts far beyond the school gates.

As a Catholic school, our ethos underpins all that we do. Inspired by the teachings of Blessed Edmund Rice, we strive to cultivate servant leadership so that our boys will live the College motto of “Ora et Labora”- pray and work. We encourage our boys to lead with humility, to stand for what is right, and to recognise their responsibility to others. Our responsibility is not only to educate minds, but hearts as well.
