Welcome to Christian Brothers’ College Boksburg. More affectionately known as CBC Boksburg. I am personally thrilled to be part of the College at this exciting time in its history, a time of renewal and rebirth.
CBC Boksburg offers a happy and vibrant independent school for boys aged from four years old to 18. The College commences with grade 000 and extends through to grade 12 or matric. The College is broken up into three sections, specifically the Junior Primary, Senior Primary and High School. Movement from one phase into the next is seamless and is enhanced by a teacher-led orientated program.
Since its early beginnings in 1935, CBC Boksburg has been helping talented boys to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations, benefitting from 88 years of traditional teaching and learning.
More recently, technological, societal and educational shifts have also allowed us to embrace innovation and fresh thinking.
These innovation shifts have taken place within an all boys environment. The benefit of boys’ schooling is that it caters specifically to a boy’s learning preferences and teaches him in such a way that he will learn and respond best to. The all-boys’ environment allows him to develop a special bond of brotherhood with his peers which is nurtured through the boys working together in the classroom, on the sports field or on the stage.
A CBC Boksburg education is about developing independent thought and learning with enthusiasm. It is about creating cultural awareness and learning the benefits of participating in either a team or an individual sport. It is about learning to interact with other people in a complex world.
"Brotherhood, Servant Leadership, Global Citizenship, Diversity and creating Men of Honour"
It is about preparing boys for the world beyond our gates. It is about instilling the core values of Brotherhood, Servant Leadership, Global Citizenship, Diversity and creating Men of Honour that ensure a successful CBC matriculant.
We endeavour to ensure that every boy feels as if he belongs. Our House System and small tutor groups ensure that every boy feels supported at every turn and that he feels comfortable, respected, safe and secure in his environment. Indeed, the culture of the school is one of consideration and kindness. This caring community is underpinned by a shared value system which is complemented by the partnership between the College, the pupil and the parent.
Our commitment is to provide education for life within a caring Catholic ethos.
Don’t just take my word for it. Come and visit us to see how your son will thrive at CBC Boksburg.
