Debating
Debating is a cultural activity that allows pupils the opportunity to develop important skills and so gains wit, flair and confidence.
C.B.C. Boksburg is a member of the SACEE (South African Council for English Education) debating league. In the past the team has been very successful, getting as far as the finals. The enthusiasm and dedication shown by those boys contribute positively to their cultural development.

Public Speaking
At CBC Boksburg, public speaking is a vital skill encouraged among students, fostering confidence and articulate communication. The boys regularly participate in the Public Speaking Festival organised by the Speech and Drama College of South Africa, a prestigious platform for honing their oratory talents. Competing in such events helps them develop critical thinking, improve their ability to present ideas clearly, and boost self-esteem. These competitions also enhance their leadership and persuasive skills, invaluable traits that benefit both their academic journey and future professional pursuits. Through public speaking, the boys at CBC Boksburg are empowered to become effective communicators and confident leaders.
Marimbas & Band
The marimba ensemble is made up of two bands; the Primary School and High School. These bands play occasionally College Masses, Liturgies and Assemblies. Out of College, the bands play at the Annual Marimba Festivals held around Gauteng.
The College Band continues to grow year in and year out. The band is an important facet of the Cultural Portfolio in the College as they play at Masses, Liturgies, Assemblies, Parishes and at many other functions where they are invited.
