CBC Boksburg is proud to celebrate the incredible achievement of one of our very own learners Connor Steyn, who recently represented South Africa at the WBSC (World Baseball Softball Confederation) Africa Championships against Zimbabwe.
Connor, a dedicated and talented Grade 12 learner, was part of the national U18 baseball team that competed in a five-match series against Zimbabwe. With determination and teamwork, South Africa emerged victorious—winning all five matches and securing their spot as champions of Africa.

This impressive victory means that South Africa will now go on to represent the continent at the 33rd WBSC U18 Baseball World Cup, which will take place in Japan, in September 2025. Competing on the world stage is a phenomenal achievement and a testament to the hours of hard work, discipline, and passion that Connor and his teammates have invested in the sport.
At CBC Boksburg, we are incredibly proud of Connor’s accomplishment. His journey reflects the values of excellence, commitment, and sportsmanship that we strive to instil in all our learners.
We congratulate Connor on this outstanding milestone and wish him and Team South Africa the very best as they prepare to take on the world in Japan. Fly the flag high, Connor — your CBC family is cheering you on every step of the way!
